A crash victim’s primer on what to expect during truck accident cases

Written by Steve Gursten Posted August 1st, 2013

Truck accident attorney Mike LeizermanThis week, I presented to injury lawyers from around the country on helping crash victims understand what to expect during their truck accident cases. I also covered the basics every truck attorney must know about truck accident litigation.

I was part of the MyLawCLE Live Feed Video Seminar from Philadelphia, PA, from 10 a.m.-4:15 p.m. My presentation was called, “The Plaintiff’s Primer on Truck Accident Litigation.”

Here are some of the topics I covered:

•    A history of truck accident litigation,
•    Pre-litigation discovery,
•    Truck driver, vehicle and company standards,
•    When Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations apply,
•    Finding all the parties and insurance,
•    Common case themes, and
•     Damages in truck accident cases.

MyLawCLE is an organization supported by top lawyers from around the country who work together to create new courses for helping attorneys protect accident victims and build their law practices.
