Steve Gursten and Rena Leizerman, partners with Truck Accident Attorneys Roundtable founder Michael Leizerman, present at AAJ Truck Accident Litigation Section
Steve spoke on teaching lawyers how to reach better injury settlements in truck collision cases and Rena spoke on best practices regarding multi-state litigation
Okay, so I’m a little partial.
But, even so, what I’m about to say is 100% true.
Rena Leizerman, my wife and an outstanding Truck Accident Attorneys Roundtable-affiliated lawyer, did a great job in her presentation at the American Association for Justice’s Annual Convention in Los Angeles. Rena spoke about best practices regarding multi-state litigation and trucking litigation.
Congratulations Rena!
Additionally, here’s another statement that is 100% true, even though I may be a little partial.
My Truck Accident Attorneys Roundtable co-founder Steve Gursten, who has litigated well over 300 wrecks involving commercial trucks and has served as past-president of the AAJ Truck Litigation Group, gave a terrific talk the attorney-members of the AAJ’s Truck Accident Litigation Section with his presentation, “Better Settlements for Truck Accident Cases,” at the AAJ’s Annual Convention.
In particular, Steve emphasized that an attorney must understand and be able to exploit conflicts of interest and understand the sometimes complicated interplay of what can often be multiple layers of insurance carried by trucking companies. Attorneys must know how to work with a secondary or excess layer to put pressure on the underlying insurance carrier to offer policy limits, and work with general counsel or retained counsel for the trucking company to make sure the insurance company is not committing insurance reserve bad faith and protecting the insured.
Great job, Steve, and congratulations!
