Connecting with the jury in a truck accident brain injury case
This week, I’ll be speaking at a legal conference to help lawyers better represent accident victims, such as the many truck wreck victims I represent who have suffered traumatic brain injury (TBI). The legal seminar will be held in Las Vegas and is called “Traumatic Brain Injury: The Medicine, The Science, The Law,” and it’s hosted by the 360 Advocacy Institute.
My seminar presentation is “Connecting with the Jury – Developing the Story that Helps the Jury Understand the Impact of the Brain Injury on the Plaintiff and his/her Life.” I will be presenting with my friend and Truck Accident Attorneys Roundtable affiliated attorney Tom Metier of Colorado. We will be discussing real strategies we have used from past truck accident cases.
This legal conference aims to teach all types of injury lawyers how to better understand TBI, on everything from diagnosing the brain injury, to proving an injury that remains “hidden” to juries, to securing the adequate compensation for brain injured clients in litigation settlements.
The 360 Advocacy Institute is an organization that hosts conferences, seminars and workshops for personal injury lawyers throughout the country. These events focus on making lawyers better, so that we can better represent our clients amid the increasing pressures and tactics from the insurance industry today.
I’m on the Advisory Board of the 360 Advocacy Institute and I’m also a faculty member for the brain injury conference.
