Lawrence Simon

Lawrence M. Simon is Counsel to the New York and New Jersey firm of Javerbaum Wurgaft Hicks Kahn Wikstrom & Sinins. His practice focuses on commercial vehicle litigation, including representing victims of wrecks caused by tractor-trailer, hazmat vehicles, fuel trucks, large combination vehicles, box trucks, buses, and commuter vans.

Lawyrence is the current Chair of the Trucking Litigation Group of the American Association for Justice (AAJ), and has been an officer of the Trucking Litigation Group since 2008. He is also a co-founder of the AAJ Bus Litigation Group.

Seeing first-hand how tractor-trailers can cause catastrophic and life altering injuries, and even death, motivates him to seek justice inside and outside the courtroom. Outside the courtroom, Lawrence is part of the fight for mandatory side under-ride guards on trucks, as well the push to increase mandatory insurance limits for trucks from their current limits, which have remained unchanged since the 1980s.

Inside the courtroom, he fights to make sure trucking companies that violate hours of service or vehicle inspection regulations, or engage in negligent or reckless hiring practices, are held accountable. He is an in-demand speaker for lawyers seeking to learn about federal and state trucking regulations and trucking industry customs and practices.
